TEACHING UPDATED AND RELEVANT FARRIER SCIENCE WITHIN
A TRADITIONAL HORSESHOEING SCHOOL EDUCATION

Tool Requirements

Students must have their own hand tools.  Anvils and forges are furnished at the school.  The following tool list constitutes a good “start-up” package.  Tool acquisition seems to continue throughout one’s career, however.

In purchasing tools, be mindful that quality tools are worth the investment and will put the student at an advantage to perform quality work.  Inferior tools will cause the student to re-invest in better tools very quickly, making the total tool investment much higher.

Necessary tools are listed below.  Students should obtain these tools prior to the start of class.  The suggested brand of each tool is listed.  We are happy to make a dealer recommendation upon request.
